Hey there, coffee enthusiasts!

We’re an independent crew based in the Midlands, teaming up with roasters who are on the same wavelength as us at My Happy Coffee Club – sharing core principles, values, ethics, and all the good vibes for the ultimate coffee experience!

Now, let me share my coffee journey with you. Picture this: late-night study sessions, presentation prep and the desperate need for a pick-me-up during my BSc Chemistry days at Aston University. Back then, the coffee struggle was real, and the prime objective was surviving those all-nighters and acing exams.

Fast forward to the corporate world and my coffee adventures continued. This time, the not-so-great coffee came straight from the dreaded office vending machine. No combination seemed to hit the right notes and my taste buds were in need of rescue.

The game-changer? A friend’s gift of freshly ground coffee and a proclamation “This is the best coffee ever!” Armed with new equipment – cafetiere, measuring spoons and a fancy kettle – I took my first sip and was blown away. The passion for exquisite coffee flavours was ignited, turning me into a happy coffee connoisseur.

Inspiration struck and I decided to embark on my own coffee venture. Little did I know, it was a family affair! My Dad revealed that in 1968 my Grandad owned a Tea estate and a Coffee farm in Tanzania (Soni, Lushoto), rocking turbines, roasters, and all. Supplying roasted coffee beans to companies who then shipped it across the globe.

Unfortunately, due to Privatisation and “Land Grabbing”, my Grandad had to let go of the Tea estate and Coffee farm and that chapter was left in history. 

The legacy of a coffee empire in the family added that extra special touch and My Happy Coffee Club was born.

My mission? To serve you the ultimate coffee and tea experience, just like my Grandad did back in the day. It’s a family thing. I cherish spending time with my parents, four awesome kids and of course, my lovely wife (had to throw that in!)
